Who is Catalyzing Inspiration?

 

A native of San Francisco, Stephanie is a dedicated academic/life coach nurturing local youth to discover their potential. Her background is varied, committed to creating lasting change to life challenges at the grassroots and systematic level in topics such as poverty, human rights violations and environmental injustices. Her work includes working as a U.S. diplomat and activist across Europe, Africa and Latin America. Wanting to make a change in the lives of individuals, she has taught writing, Spanish, social sciences up to the Master’s level for nine years. She specializes in mentoring youth to approach projects intuitively and methodologically to gain self-confidence in challenges. She also tutors French, English, college applications, study skills and homeschools youth K-9. Her B.A. is in Comparative Politics and French from Boston University, where she studied politics and art in France, and Master’s from the London School of Economics in Nationalism and Ethnicity – conflict mitigation and peacebuilding.

 Stephanie offers a rare perspective in international affairs – working from donor, NGO, indigenous, media and activist lenses through her diverse experiences, in Latin America, the Balkans, the former Soviet Union, Western Europe, Africa and Asia. Stephanie has designed reforms globally for better youth opportunities. She currently teaches an international development and poverty reduction class at the graduate level at the University of San Francisco focusing on a unique Global South perspective unwinding colonization. Her approach combines education and engaged mentorship.  She also is very engaged working in her native California with local and international tribes around indigenous wisdom and climate change.

Fun fact: Stephanie loves yoga, swimming, being in nature and raced single-handed sailboats from the age of 12 in the San Francisco Bay and around the country.

Lover and healer of all things broken, Stephanie has a knack for finding solutions for change - be it broken democracies and social contracts, challenges in communities, or relationships. After seeing a disconnect in values, Stephanie made the conscious choice to align with her higher purpose and educate and coach on decolonizing the body, mind and spirit from self-sabotaging patterns and violence. A native of San Francisco, she teaches environmental and global studies from a trauma-informed approach and is a transformational life coach. She has extensively mentored with elders from the Colombian Andes for over eleven years.

Stephanie works as a guide, interpreter and co-creator with clients of all ages to understand themselves, their nervous systems and triggers, and behavioral patterns to recover their inherit joy so life’s challenges are seemingly less turbulent. She is honored to build a network of social change agents striving to catalyze more beautiful futures.
